Welcome to the world of Azadeh Khaleghi, where beauty and ugliness converge in the hands of an artist who sees beyond the ordinary frames of existence.

About the Artist
Born in March 1980 in Iran, I am Azadeh Khaleghi—a nature enthusiast, photographer, and realistic painter. I believe that the world, as it is, transcends mere reality. Embracing a mindset of liberation since self-awareness, I view the complexities of life as a canvas painted with the contrasting beauties inherent in the reality we perceive.
Artistic Philosophy
My academic background in physics has allowed me to strike a balance between reality and metaphor, connecting hidden emotions to the essence of subjects. By relating realities to their concealed sentiments, I paint my world with heightened details, presenting them authentically, without compromise or exaggeration.
“Paintings have their own lives. Lives that spring from the soul of the artist.”
— Vincent Van Gogh
I don’t perceive the world as a whole; instead, I see an immense, extraordinary, and magical world within a small frame.
The Realist Visionary
As a realistic (literalist) painter, my fascination lies in delving deep into the cultures, traditions, and ancient rituals of diverse societies. I strive to capture the visual and sensory allure, diversity, and contradictions of these cultural tapestries, creating small masterpieces that reflect a unique slice of the wondrous creation of the world.
Nature Lover and Urban Explorer
My love for exploring nature and delving into the hustle and bustle of city life, witnessing the lives of diverse people, provides a clear and comprehensive vision for creating my works. The synthesis of reality, abstraction, imagination, light, and shadow reflects the true nature of human societies.
Reality, a blend of abstraction and imagination, is, in my belief, sincere, unexaggerated, simple, and full of mysteries.
Embracing Freedom
In the words of Gustave Courbet, the leader of the Realism movement, I belong to no school, church, institution, academy, or regime, except the regime of freedom.
Explore the world through my eyes, where every stroke tells a story, and each piece is a window into the multifaceted beauty of reality.
